The Flip Side of Twenty-five Years

A heart felt thank you to all those who stood by me and with me through my years of transformation. My deepest appreciation to those who have been supporting me with the "I Promised God Ministries." You have put aside some things which your hearts may have desired by giving of your time, your gifts, your prayers and your words of encouragement. My thanks go out to those who attended the concert on August 24, to those who have purchased CDs and Cassettes. We are at the beginning stage of this ministry and your support is vitally important to this cause. Stay on this ship so you can help us pick up souls on the highways and byways of life for the kingdom of God.

** It was in 1977 that I had my last concert in Montego-Bay Jamaica, twenty-five years ago. On August 24, 2002 the Lord saw that I was ready to witness for Him and not for my self-glorification. That was the flip side of twenty-five years. Back then I sang without being converted, I sang with pride in my heart as the audience listened and applauded. It took 25 years of hard work by the Holy Spirit, 25 years to break, melt and mold me so that I could come to this place in my life, a place where faith in Jesus Christ is the substance on which my feet are planted. I am encouraged by the tremendous response from those who attended the concert on August 24, 2002.

*** Had I not met Jesus at the cross I would not have been able to surrender my life to Him. Today I feel as if I am a different person. I am convinced that if I continue to lean on the arms of the Savior, I will become the person I have always wanted to become. If you have met Jesus before I did, then you know what I am talking about. Let us take our eyes off of ourselves, less we forget that we are humans and our strength comes only through the source of Heaven and that it comes by the way of the cross. Yes, let us humble ourselves at the feet of Jesus, less we forget the flip side of walking with Him.

May the Holy Spirit help us to be always brave for our heavenly Father.

Sincerely,

Your brother through the Blood of the Lamb,

William L. Nelson
