It Happened Again!

How safe are we?

Our hearts goes out to the families and friends of those who perished due to the AA. Flight not too long after the September 11 disaster. I pray that they will find comfort in knowing that God will bring them peace, even in times of distress and sorrow. The bible speaks often times of Nations that were gripped with fear; fear of what is taking place in their Lands. There are those who are afraid to leave their homes to venture out on the street, but how safe are you in your homes. We should realize that our ultimate safety is not in the hands of human but in the hands of the Lord. All these things which are happening has a purpose to them.

I think that God is calling us to a meeting place of reality. He wants us to take a look at ourselves then draw near to Him so that He can straighten us out while it is yet day...."Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children." Deuteronomy 4: 10.

Are we teaching our children the way of the Lord? Are we willing ourselves to do the will of Him who has the whole world in the palm of His Hand? Is this the only way that our heavenly Father can reach a Nation that fell asleep by the wayside? Whenever the United States of America’s head hurts, the whole world knows about it...."Religious liberty" sure; then can you tell me why we are not free to open your mouths in a public place and pray to your God? Well!

If for some reason we have this feeling that we are close enough to our Savior. If we feel that we do not need to pull up a bit more, then that is sad. I find that the closer I get to Him; is the more excited and charged I become. Is that the same experience you are experiencing?...I pray that it be so...I pray that you and I will be ready for His glorious appearing.

Some of us are old enough to recall the time of 80s, those years when many planes went down during that 10 years frame…I wrote this lyric during that time.

Terror:

Today another plane went down.
In just a flash it was gone.
Tonight a train could derail.
Tomorrow one more ship
Could sink in the deep.
Terror in the sky, terror on the ground.
Terror on the ocean brings heartaches and pain.

Tonight many lovers weep and sigh,
They wandered why their loved ones died?
Some won’t even find their darlings.
Tomorrow will find then crying again.
Terror in the sky terror on the ground.
Terror on the ocean brings heartaches and pain.

Someday in the sweet bye and bye,
This whole world will
Gather by the great riverside.
But some won’t cross over Into Jordan.
Tomorrow will find them crying again.
Terror in the sky, terror on the ground.
Terror on the ocean brings heartaches and pain.

Tell me, if death should over come you, on which side of the river Jordan of life will you find yourself standing come getting up morning? Are you feeling safe where you are? Is the foundation beneath your feet a solid one? Remember that there are two sides to any river, a lower side and an elevated side. The direction to the lower side is where you will find covetousness, unfaithfulness, and all sorts of unpleasant things. On the other hand, the direction to the elevated side of life, is where you will find folks who are kindhearted, friendly, truthful and unselfish. As long as you are alive, I think you can safely say that you are standing in the river of the life, but in what direction are you taking your steps? It will surely make a difference now and in the life after.
